With a cancer diagnosis, you become a member of the club no one wants to join. Welcome to the Courage Club! The Courage Club by The Boon Project is a place for young adult cancer fighters and survivors in the Lowcountry (and beyond) to connect with others who understand the physical, mental, and emotional battle that is a cancer diagnosis as a young adult. Courage Club features a free private online support group, free monthly gatherings and group community service projects. Some events are private for Courage Club members only, while others include the all important caregivers and family members.
A subgroup of Courage Club, the Metathriver Group, meets at least once a quarter and provides support to young adults facing a terminal, chronic, or stage IV cancer diagnosis. This group also has a private online support community.
Email Katherine to get connected. Once a member, always a member.. We hope to meet you soon!
Upcoming Courage Club Event
Courage Club Meets the Easter Bunny!
Saturday March 27th at 2:00pm
Our March Courage Club event is a Drive-Thru Easter Bunny Visit for kids and kids at heart. We'll have a little something for our Courage Club members, and invite them to bring their children to see the Easter Bunny from a safe distance.
This event is in cooperation with the family of Tommy Henry. Tommy was a member of our Courage Club who passed away in December of 2019. HIs parents have generously reached out to help make this day possible for the families we serve.
Courage Club members, please RSVP in the Facebook event or by emailing so we know how many to plan on for our fun day!
Contact Katherine (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you like to be added to the Private Courage Club group!
